The days continue to blur by

So in the last week we have cleaned the other two bathrooms to the point of usability. Planned the remodel of the upstairs aptly named "kid's" bathroom. Bought a Queen sized bed for the guest bedroom. Setup boat loads of IKEA furniture and bookshelves, and unloaded more Banker's boxes then I realized we had. After all of that we set into trying to make the place at least seem livable.

We also ordered a reconditioned set of DeWalt tools and bought a set of lawn hand tools so we can deal with the rain-forest that has become the lawn. I trimmed about three pickup loads of dead branches out of the front tree and Amanda fought with the bushes and other plants that had grown far out of their boundaries. I got to help her with one little thorny bastard, that I shall hence forth call the Devil plant. She told me they usually get planted to keep rabbits out. Apparently they don't work as I discovered a warren of baby rabbits under our shed in the backyard. I'm a little vexed as to what to do about it. A mother Rabbit and two little ones that seem to have made it a permanent home.

After racking up three garbage bags full of nettles and crap, mowing the lawn, cleaning up the front yard, and then weed whacking (yes we bought a battery powered weed whacker) we noticed that all manner of birds seemed to descend from everywhere onto the swarms of bugs we had stirred up. The coolest was the pair of cardinals that usually haunt our back tree coming right up onto our porches empty hanging pole and looking out over the yard. Probably gonna have to get a bird feeder, because strangely I really enjoy seeing birds.

We have the smallest bedroom setup as a music scratch lab. The digital recorder and mixer are both out and ready to go at a moments notice, also the net-book and our 2020 have become good friends. We still need to get wall hangings up in the house it seems awkwardly naked at this point and I am looking forward to getting Picasso and Klimt back up where we can see them everyday. We moved the extra television into the guest bedroom as it seems to be the only place its not gonna get damaged and it made the room seem even more like a hotel room. For those of you who visit, I'm sure you will find we compare even to the Holiday Inn down the road.

The garage has become some what of a frustration the moment we get it cleaned and reorganized it seems we attack another project and it goes right back to being a mess. Gonna have to spend some time and come up with a system for where things go and maybe get some real shelves as the rubber-maid slime magnets are not very helpful.

Mrs. Washburn Says:

Unless you're gardening, rabbits won't hurt you. If you touch the babies, the mother won't claim them anymore so you'll have to hand feed them. If you had a dog, they can be a source of fleas.
